Why These Key Areas?
First, our base is in Ghana, West Africa. Upon our initial travel to Ghana, we discovered a great need for education. Most people are too poor and cannot afford basic necessities for a good education, especially in the rural areas.

EDUCATION
Reasons Why Children Are Not Attending School in Rural Areas:
-Parents are poor and need children to work to help support household.
-Do not have any shoes and were not going to school.
-Do not have the money for uniforms.
-The government does not provide any school supplies (pencils, pens etc…)
-Too sick or in ill health.
HEALTH We also discovered poor health conditions.
Reasons Why They Need Health Professionals and Teachers:

-Children suffering from infections caused by poor drinking water.
-Children uneducated about sanitary conditions (washing hands & hair etc…).
-Simple over the counter medicine to prevent minor sickness from escalating.
-Antibiotic usage and distribution.
Many areas of health concerns, which would be easily solved in America, have become major problems in these poor countires. AIM has been able to help many within a few short years.
BUSINESS
Why Business? “Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach him to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.”
AIM Mission has a commitment to marginalized people around the world. Honestly, we desire to help, however our resources are limited. True growth only occurs when people are not handicapped by dependency. Therefore, as the adage says, “teach them to fish so they can live for a lifetime.”
Our plan has always been to help cultivate the earning potential of the poor so they can help themselves. No one wants to be completely dependant on others forever - if at all! AIM has been working with villages to help them develop ideas and practical ways to foster their earning potential. We continue to look for help and support in order to provide financial stability.
